Saw the Hobbitt on Saturday evening with Moviebears and Sunday went to the SFGMC holiday party at Tom & Jerry's house. Moviebears offers good times with a bunch of friendly guys & a discount on your movie tickets too. The SFGMC event was a potluck with hundreds of vocally gifted guys and lots of yummy food at perhaps the most fabulously decorated house in SF.

It's the Holiday season and there's lots of fundraisers. The Academy of Friends event was the best I've ever seen of theirs. The cast of Kinky Boots sure know how to sing ! The Academy of Friends holiday party at Gump's was as classy as ever - how can you miss when you're at Gump's anyway ? Drag queens doing the Golden Girls in front a bunch of adoring fans was alot of fun. It's still going on at the Victoria Theatre. I highly recommend this show. Saturday I attended 4 holiday events - Shanti Life holiday party, Maitri open house, Resilient and the Bare Chest Calendar holiday parties. Wore me out !

4 very different types of events this week. Shanti's 50+ dinner, Mandance rehearsal for their show Nutcracker this past weekend, Industry party hosted by the Bare Chest Calendar & last night AIDS Memorial Grove event with an award to the well-deserving Richmond/Ermet AIDS Foundation. I must say I'm having a great time spending quality time with such dedicated people in our community.

5 events in 1 week. Work CAN be fun ! Started the week with self-defense training with the Castro Community on Patrol at Magnet. Next a Theatre Rhino show, an anniversary party for the LGBT Latino group Aguilas, a fundraiser by designers called DIFFA. Ended the week with a spectacular stage performance - not your regular drag show - Peaches & Heklina's High School Reunion at the Castro.

This week I attended to events. The LGBT Center BOLD awards promoted the Center's efforts in highlighting those in our community helping The Center & its struggle for equal rights. The Sisters Project Nunway made me feel like I was part of a Fellini movie. The audience was as entertaining as the runway with Nuns & leather-clad hotties.

Attending more and events from groups on OurTownSF.org This last week was no exception with the volunteer appreciation party for the Castro Ambassadors - part of the Castro Community Benefit District, the Bare Chest Calendar casino night and auction, and ending the weekend with a fundraiser for OurTownSF.org hosted by Michael Brandon. Bought a camera today. Excited about publishing quality photos on the website.

A very festive weekend in SF. Started out with Magnet's art show of Peter Berlin. Saturday I brought posters and palm cards to various Castro area businesses for Resilient, the Bare Chest Calendar plus OurTownSF.org
Sunday was the Castro Street Fair where I finished scheduling the Nonprofit Windows at Walgreens and California Check Cashing, took photos of nonprofits on OurTownSF.org and recruited for the Bare Chest Calendar. Later in the evening I posted the photos on the website and Facebook pages of OurTownSF.org and the nonprofits in the photos.

Was this the biggest party weekend of the year or did it just feel like it. I'm worn out and we've got Castro Street in 2 weeks. Thursday night was AEF's Leather and Feathers. Friday night was the ever-elegant Art for AIDS at the Metreon. On Saturday there were hundreds of gorgeous men at the Big Muscle fundraisers for the Bare Chest Calendar and AIDS Emergency Fund. Sunday it seemed like every kinky person on the west coast and beyond attended the Folsom Street Fair. It was just yesterday and I can't wait for the next one. Can we ever get enough of leather ? I hope not !

This past weekend I attended 3 very different types of fundraisers. Macy's Glamorama on Friday night was a formal affair. There were singers, dancers and a fabulous fashion show. This party and show was a benefit for Glide, Project Open hand & AIDS Emergency Fund.
Sunday began with Leather Walk which begins leather week culminating with the Folsom Street Fair. It was a colorful march with flags, banners and hundreds of people in leather. The Walk benefits AIDS Emergency Fund.
Following the Leather Walk marchers attended a beer bust at The Eagle with a beer bust benefitting the Bare Chest Calendar.
Check out my photos on OurTownSF.org under the RECENT PHOTOS tab.
